Could you imagine Vancouver without Stanley Park? More than 100 years ago someone had a vision and it is now the gem of Vancouver.
The land currently owned by us has been privately owned for more than 100 years. We are proposing to create the Stanley park of the Comox Valley with 240 acres along the banks of the Browns and Puntledge Rivers within our boundaries. We want to have change rooms, washrooms and make it something very special.
This land is very highly utilized recreational land by the citizens of the Valley. It was also the home of the Elasmosaur, and it contains fossils that are found no where else on earth.
If you wish to see a 240 acre public park along these waterways, contact the chair and board of directors at your local regional district.
